We helped work up in the Heber mountains to do work projects with the young women during their week of camp. We rarely went a day without seeing deer, moose, chipmunks, etc.
Many hours were spent chainsawing down trees, cutting them up and loading the limbs into that small dump truck. We then dumped each load and went back to repeat the process.
The purple flower is a Thistle which is thorny and takes over like weeds such as dandelions. It grows 3-5 feet tall and is very difficult to chop out of the ground. No one really liked that job, especially in the hot summer sun.
There were 4 Challenge courses where a group would work together to complete a task. We never had time to go watch but it was a highlight for the girls and families that came on the weekends. There are 2 pictures of fun on wires and balancing on a plank.
Yes we got to ride ATV's and other small vehicles. They were also used to haul tree limbs that were too heavy to lift when the heavy equipment was unavailable.
